FINRA is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits professional to lead initiatives, manage projects, ensure compliance, address client issues, and conduct advanced data analysis for our employee benefits programs, with a primary focus on overseeing FINRA’s retirement plans. This is an individual contributor role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of FINRA’s Qualified and Non-Qualified Retirement Plans, including design, funding, vendor relationships, and compliance.
- Oversee strategic employee benefits plans and processes (Health & Welfare, Retirement, audits).
- Recommend, implement, and administer competitive benefits plans aligned with FINRA’s strategy.
- Lead the design and implementation of new benefits processes and program changes, collaborating with HR colleagues.
- Manage communication processes for federal, state, and local benefits compliance, partnering with legal and communications teams.
- Evaluate benefits contracts and agreements for efficiency, quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Corporate Technology to ensure effective administration and execution of benefits programs, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Analyze benefits data and present metrics to identify trends and inform program design decisions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, facilitating resolutions with HR support.
- Mentor junior Benefits team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of HR experience, with 5+ years in benefits design and administration.
- Strong knowledge of benefits-related legal compliance (ERISA, ADA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, etc.).
- Proven project management skills in evaluating, implementing, and renewing benefits programs.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS technology.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Work Environment: Hybrid, limited travel, extended hours as needed.
