Salary Range: $69,305 – $99,819 / year (Exempt)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (flexible hours between 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Position Overview
The Revenue Cycle Analyst II supports enterprise-level revenue cycle operations, with a strong focus on automation and optimization within Patient Access+ workflows. This role works collaboratively across departments and serves as a subject matter expert in billing compliance, coding, and revenue cycle processes.
Under minimal supervision, this position analyzes trends, ensures compliance with billing standards, identifies areas for process improvement, and presents key findings to leadership. The analyst will work with various data sources and reporting tools to enhance revenue performance and minimize financial/legal risks across Mayo Clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret billing data to identify revenue, compliance risks, and improvement opportunities

Support the automation and streamlining of Patient Access+ workflows

Develop and deliver data-driven presentations to practice and finance leadership

Apply and interpret billing, coding, and compliance guidelines
-
Support audits, process reviews, and benchmark analysis
-
Recommend enhancements to processes that align with Mayo Clinic standards

Mentor and train team members and junior analysts
-
Use reporting tools and dashboards to provide insights to leadership

Maintain thorough documentation of processes, rules, and decisions
Qualifications
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (economics, math, business, finance, accounting, healthcare, statistics) and at least 1 year of relevant experience
OR -
High school diploma and at least 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
-
Master’s degree in business, healthcare, or finance-related field
-
Operational experience in Patient Access+ workflows
-
Coding/compliance certification (e.g., CPC, CCS)

HFMA Certification
Technical & Soft Skills:
-
Strong understanding of billing, coding, compliance, and revenue recognition systems

Experience with reporting tools and data analysis

Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills

Strong communication and presentation skills
-
Highly organized, independent, and detail-oriented
-
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
