Position Summary
The Hospital Records Retrieval Clerk supports the Revenue Cycle Medical Billing – Shared Services team by obtaining hospital records needed for accurate and timely claim processing and appeals. This role ensures that all necessary documentation is collected, organized, and ready for further billing processes.
Key Responsibilities

Request hospital records by obtaining required information from facilities.

Fax accurate record requests to hospitals.

Identify accounts needing hospital records.

Follow up on pending requests until records are received.

Document and organize records in accounts to facilitate the next step in the billing process.
Qualifications
Required:

6 months of data entry experience.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to download and access documents from websites.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:

6 months of records retrieval experience.
-
Experience with Respond Billing / Sweet software.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
