Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, oversee staff, and drive excellence in customer service, inventory management, and financial performance. This role offers the unique opportunity to build Rikki’s from the ground up—hiring and training the founding team, refining bar and restaurant operations, and shaping the culture. The General Manager will report to ownership and play a key role in bringing Rikki’s vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Leadership

  • Manage all bar and restaurant operations, ensuring efficiency and excellence.

  • Hire, train, and supervise staff, maintaining a high-performance team.

  • Develop staff schedules and oversee payroll compliance.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, and vendor relationships.

  • Identify and implement strategies to optimize profitability.

Customer Experience & Community Engagement

  • Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

  • Uphold high service and hospitality standards.

  • Address customer feedback to enhance the guest experience.

  • Build a positive, team-oriented culture.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to all alcohol service laws, health codes, and safety regulations.

  • Monitor food and beverage quality, waste control, and cost efficiency.

  • Conduct routine health and safety inspections.

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Manage inventory levels, vendor relationships, and ordering.

  • Track product usage, costs, and sales trends, reporting monthly financials.

  • Minimize waste and loss through effective stock control.

Event & Programming Management

  • Plan and execute special events, game viewings, and buyouts.

  • Coordinate event logistics, contracts, and promotions.

  • Develop creative marketing initiatives to grow Rikki’s audience.

  • Manage social media content and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of bar/restaurant management experience.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of food, beverages, cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.

  • Experience in inventory management, cost control, and scheduling.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

  • Current Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.

  • Passion for hospitality, team success, and guest satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in a high-energy environment with repetitive hand movements.
