Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Tradition Hospital, you will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical nursing best practices. You’ll perform patient assessments, deliver direct and indirect care, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery and wellness.
Primary Responsibilities

Provide specialized and general nursing care based on patient needs and age-specific requirements.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including admission evaluations and pain level documentation.

Monitor, document, and evaluate patient conditions, ensuring timely and effective interventions.

Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare team to develop and revise individualized care plans.

Delegate appropriate nursing tasks to support staff.

Contribute to discharge planning and promote patient wellness.

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital and regulatory standards.

Willingness to float to other units or hospitals as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
-
Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida.

Required Certifications (must be from AHA):
-
Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
-
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), where applicable

Experience:
-
Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

At least 2 years of recent operating room (OR) experience required for surgical unit positions.

National certification is welcomed but not required.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

Full range of motion including lifting and repositioning patients.

Standing and walking for extended periods.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and up to 25 lbs frequently.

Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
