Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical team. Reporting directly to the Clinical Nurse Director, the RN is responsible for delivering high-quality, individualized nursing care using all phases of the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves direct patient care, coordination with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and adherence to established clinical protocols to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, and competent nursing care to a diverse patient population in an acute care medical-surgical unit

Utilize clinical judgment to assess patient conditions, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes

Effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care

Respond to emergencies and critical changes in patient condition with professionalism and urgency

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educational programs to enhance patient care and professional development
Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting required

Medical-Surgical experience is preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
-
Current California RN license in good standing

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Fire Safety Card (must be obtained within 30 days of hire, per California regulations)

Assault Response Competency (ARC) training (must be completed within 30 days of hire)
