Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Provide patient care in the Wound Care Center, handling intake and discharge processes in accordance with hospital and nursing standards.

Assist in the vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.

May serve as Case Manager for a group of patients, performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings to physicians, assessing wounds, documenting care plans, evaluating patient outcomes, and identifying situations requiring intervention.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, educate patients or caregivers, and advocate for patients in care delivery and coordination.

Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) duties after completing Healogics hyperbaric training.
-
May take on hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required safety training.

Collaborate with healthcare providers, Wound Care Center staff, Program Director, and Medical Director to address clinic and patient needs.

May serve as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in line with Healogics policy.

Perform other duties as required.
Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
-
Current RN license in the state of practice, maintained throughout employment.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
-
Medical Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care Certification preferred.

Wound care experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Competency in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory/accrediting requirements.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stay stationary for extended periods (4+ hours).

Ability to view computer screens and key frequently for extended periods.

Ability to move about and perform tasks such as reading, writing, and communicating.

Color perception, close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Ability to lift/move items up to 20 pounds; up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, and touch.

Ability to push/pull items as needed.
Work Environment:

Typical office and patient care environments, primarily indoors.

Exposure to potential hazards (bloodborne pathogens, toxic chemicals, explosive gases, etc.).

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position typically ranges from $29.62 to $38.08 per hour.
