Role Overview
As a Robot Delivery Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in assembling, maintaining, and deploying Coco’s delivery robots. Your work ensures that every robot runs reliably and safely in the field. From troubleshooting electrical components to optimizing mechanical performance, you’ll directly support daily operations while influencing future hardware development.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, thrives in fast-moving environments, and takes ownership of every detail.
What You’ll Do

Inspect and prep robots before deployment shifts.

Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

Assemble and upgrade robot components based on SOPs and engineering guidance.

Support deployment and recovery of robots across active delivery zones.

Collaborate with engineering on new features and field tests.

Log maintenance data and identify recurring issues to inform design improvements.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble and service robotic hardware to meet performance and safety standards.

Diagnose technical faults across mechanical, electrical, and firmware layers.

Maintain accurate logs of repairs, issues, and performance metrics.

Partner with field operations to coordinate live support.

Suggest improvements to hardware systems based on field experience.
Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in maintenance, repair, or technical assembly roles.

Background in robotics, electronics, mechatronics, bike repair, or similar fields.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.

Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.

Familiarity with mobile tools and reporting platforms.
Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent certification in a technical field (e.g., robotics, electrical, or mechanical engineering).

Experience working with semi-autonomous systems or mobile robotics.

Skilled in diagnostic tools, hand tools, and performance tracking.

Comfort using Excel/Google Sheets or ticketing systems.

Excellent communication and issue resolution skills.
