Job Summary
The Room Service Representative plays a key role in delivering exceptional food service to patients. You will help patients select appropriate meals according to their prescribed diet, process tube feeding and nourishment orders, and assist with dining services documentation and software.
Responsibilities

Assist patients in making meal selections that align with their medical diets

Politely explain restrictions as needed based on diet orders

Take orders via phone or in person

Process tube feeding and nourishment requests

Print and verify labels for accuracy

Communicate feeding issues or missed meals to care teams

Maintain production and service records

Support food service software training, troubleshooting, and quality audits

Keep the workspace clean and sanitized

Report issues promptly to management

Perform additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred
Skills & Experience:

Customer service experience preferred

Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment

Team-oriented attitude
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs

Comfortable in varying environmental conditions (e.g., warm kitchen, exposure to equipment, cleaning materials)

Frequent movement throughout work area

Manual dexterity for food prep and delivery tasks
Work Environment:

Climate-controlled indoors
