Job Overview

We are seeking a committed and professional Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join our dynamic primary care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse patient caseload while delivering high-quality care to both registered and temporary patients.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face consultations, telephone triage, and online queries

  • Provide home visits to patients where clinically appropriate

  • Manage repeat prescription requests, review results, and action incoming correspondence

  • Make autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions for undifferentiated conditions

  • Screen for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

  • Create and review personalised care plans with patients

  • Provide lifestyle advice, counselling, and preventative health education

  • Refer patients appropriately to secondary or specialist care

  • Maintain high standards of medical record-keeping in accordance with practice policies

  • Collect clinical data for audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

  • Prescribe medications in accordance with the NW London prescribing formulary

Additional Expectations

As a key member of the clinical team, the post-holder will:

  • Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to practice development

  • Adhere to CQC, GMC, and local commissioning standards

  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the practice and across the PCN

  • Support QOF, enhanced services, and other practice priorities

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS GP Register

  • Licence to practise and current MDU/MPS indemnity cover

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Strong communication and consultation skills

  • Commitment to providing safe, patient-centred care

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
