Sales & Marketing Assistant

Thyme, Southrop, Cotswolds | Hybrid (On-site + Marketing Support)
Full-Time | 42.5 hours per week | OTE: £31,420 per annum

 About the Role

Are you a people person with a passion for branding and storytelling? We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Sales and Marketing Assistant to join our team at Thyme — a luxury destination in the heart of the Cotswolds. This unique hybrid role combines customer-facing retail duties with creative marketing responsibilities, offering a varied and rewarding work environment.

You will play a pivotal role in bringing the Thyme brand to life across all touchpoints — from the shop floor to digital platforms, hotel rooms, spa areas, and beyond.

 Sales & Retail Responsibilities

  • Act as a brand ambassador delivering warm, professional, and engaging service on the shop floor

  • Guide customers with product knowledge and recommendations

  • Ensure retail spaces are beautifully merchandised, clean, and fully stocked

  • Capture and communicate customer feedback to inform product development and campaigns

  • Work collaboratively with shop team to complete daily operational tasks

 Marketing & Communications Support

  • Create and maintain in-store signage, menus, and printed materials aligned with our brand identity

  • Assist in the planning and creation of social media content (Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)

  • Support event promotions and activations such as pop-ups and on-site experiences

  • Contribute to copywriting, visual content, and brand messaging for internal and external use

 Product & Brand Development

  • Assist the Product Development team in curating lookbooks, brochures, and branded documents

  • Share creative ideas to elevate the presentation and storytelling of products

  • Ensure visual consistency and tone of voice across all brand outputs

 Key Skills & Experience

Required:

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service

  • Passion for branding, design, and communications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation

  • Exceptional attention to detail and visual aesthetics

  • Highly organised and capable of juggling multiple tasks and projects

Desirable:

  • Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

  • Photography and basic content editing skills

  • Previous experience in a dual-role or lifestyle/hospitality brand
