About the Role:
As an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) for Emerging Markets, you’ll drive new business growth by expanding partnerships with local and regional restaurants in untapped markets. This field sales role requires travel to emerging (primarily rural) markets, managing a transactional sales cycle, and collaborating with a Regional Sales Manager to execute client’s growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Territory Expansion: Travel extensively (50%+ time) to emerging markets, often within a 2-hour radius of the assigned city, with occasional overnight stays or longer trips (6–7 hours).
- Sales Execution: Close revenue-sharing agreements with restaurant owners through face-to-face negotiations, leveraging sales tools (e.g., pitch materials, gift cards).
- Performance Metrics: Achieve monthly targets for new merchant partnerships, with uncapped commission potential.
- Strategy Development: Contribute to scalable sales playbooks for rural markets, optimizing outreach and conversion tactics.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 2.5+ years in a closing sales role (field sales, B2B, or transactional environments preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Comfort with fast-paced, short sales cycles.
- Proficiency in both inside/outside sales tactics.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and adaptable to evolving markets.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.
