WinField United is seeking a Sales Development Manager to directly support and coach our customer-owner’s top 1,000 retail sellers, enhancing their competencies and farm-gate selling skills. This role is remote/virtual and home-based but requires residency in Wisconsin (preferably Southern or Eastern Wisconsin).
As a key partner, you will drive sales growth, deliver training, and implement strategic account plans that impact farmers’ operations across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Generation (60%)

Manage and grow business through defined plans with strong focus on STAMPS, seed, and services.

Partner with top retail sellers to influence grower decisions by coaching them on products, services, programs, and technologies.

Leverage pre-call planning tools for effective farm-gate interactions.

Record detailed account information in CRM (Salesforce).

Collaborate with agronomy and services experts for technical support.
Strategy Execution (40%)

Implement account planning tools such as Account Plan, Farmer by Farmer (FxF) Plan, and ACRE sprints.

Own and drive digital adoption, services, and FxF Plans.

Deliver value propositions at the farm-gate level, including brand ladder strategies, pricing, services, and digital platforms.

Support retail sellers in Answer Plot demonstrations and post-harvest meetings.

Manage discretionary and trial seed programs.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business, plus 2+ years of industry or direct sales experience; or 7+ years of equivalent experience.

Strong understanding of the agriculture industry, crop expertise, and farmer operations.

Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence retail sellers.

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).

Ability to manage projects, work independently, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams/Zoom, and Salesforce CRM.

Must hold a valid state driver’s license and be willing to travel up to 50%, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $79,200 – $118,800 (based on experience).

Target Bonus: $30,000.
