About the Role
OpenSesame is seeking a Sales Development Manager (SDR Manager) to lead, scale, and optimize our outbound sales function during an exciting new phase of company growth. You will build and coach a high-performing SDR team that fuels our pipeline, integrates AI-driven efficiency, and balances technology with authentic human engagement.
In this highly visible leadership role, you’ll collaborate with Marketing, Partners, Sales, Enablement, and RevOps to develop a predictable, data-driven outbound motion that drives measurable pipeline growth and professional development across your team.
Key Responsibilities

Build and scale a predictable outbound engine focused on quality engagement and conversion.

Develop the AI-Enhanced Outbound Playbook, integrating tools like Gong Engage, ZoomInfo, Clay, Qualified, and ChatGPT Enterprise.

Coach SDRs to blend automation with authenticity and maintain messaging consistency.

Partner with Marketing on targeted outbound campaigns and with Partners to refine lead processes.

Implement data-informed performance tracking and closed-loop feedback systems.

Create structured coaching, reporting, and team development frameworks.

Promote SDR career progression into AE and other revenue roles.
Performance Milestones
By 30 Days: Assess current SDR performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement quick wins to improve conversion by 10%.
By 60 Days: Launch AI-Enhanced Outbound Playbook and increase meeting-to-opportunity conversion by 5–7%.
By 90 Days: Achieve 100% of monthly qualified opportunity targets and establish career development pathways.
By 180 Days: Institutionalize a repeatable outbound system and improve conversion rates by 10%+.
By 12 Months: SDR team consistently reaches 110% of pipeline targets, with multiple promotions and measurable outbound excellence.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience in SDR leadership, SaaS, or tech sales environments.

Proven ability to build and manage high-performing outbound teams.

Deep understanding of sales tools (Salesforce, Gong, ZoomInfo) and AI automation.

Strong analytical, coaching, and communication skills.
