About the Role

Dow Jones’ Professional Information Business is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to help uncover and build new business opportunities for our Americas Strategic Sales team.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our sales pipeline—responsible for identifying, qualifying, and engaging prospective clients to schedule introductory meetings for our sales executives. You will report directly to the Manager of Sales Development and play a key role in the continued growth and success of our commercial strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate outreach via phone and email to engage current and prospective clients, scheduling meetings to showcase our suite of Professional Information Business products.

  • Collaborate with Sales Directors, Account Executives, and Sales Specialists to design and execute targeted sales campaigns.

  • Research and build prospect lists, identify high-potential leads, and drive qualified sales opportunities to help meet team revenue targets.

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Data Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Sales to ensure a cohesive approach.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach, engagement, and campaign performance within our global CRM system.


What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a B2B sales or lead generation role.

  • A natural communicator with confidence in cold calling and initiating conversations.

  • Highly motivated by results and comfortable working toward individual and team targets.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Prior experience selling information or compliance tools to senior business stakeholders is a plus.

  • A keen interest in continuous learning and professional development, particularly in the areas of compliance and business intelligence.

  • Skilled at identifying customer needs and using strategic influence to advance leads through the sales funnel.

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on revenue-generating activities.

  • Ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
