Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:

    • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the student health insurance sector.
    • Promote Wellfleet’s value propositions effectively to the market.
    • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers who influence institutional purchasing decisions.
  • Marketing and Brand Positioning:

    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted strategies, ensuring effective communication of industry updates and Wellfleet’s value propositions.
    • Ensure that Wellfleet’s products are competitively positioned based on client needs and market demands.
  • Collaboration and Client Satisfaction:

    • Act as a bridge between internal account management teams and clients to ensure client satisfaction and uphold Wellfleet’s brand reputation.
    • Collaborate with the Underwriting team to clearly define product and service requirements, understand claims information, and anticipate competitive market positions.
  • Strategic Sales Growth and Business Development:

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth within assigned territories.
    • Create and maintain a business plan tailored to customer requirements, driving pipeline development and achieving revenue goals.
    • Assist in creating sales strategies and models that optimize sales outcomes through all distribution channels.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence Gathering:

    • Evaluate short-term and long-term market potential by understanding Wellfleet’s current market position and aligning it with target demographics.
    • Continuously gather and analyze market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and emerging industry trends.
    • Compile and present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to leadership, staying informed on product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry trends.
  • Sales Pipeline and Performance Monitoring:

    • Manage the sales pipeline strategically, collaborating with sales operations to track progress and prioritize top pursuits.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Wellfleet’s offerings, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Sales and Service Planning:

    • Develop, implement, and monitor a Sales and Service business plan aligned with Wellfleet’s revenue, sales, persistency, and earnings objectives.
    • Foster strong internal and external relationships to achieve exceptional work outcomes.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
    • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
