Position Summary

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to drive customer engagement, lead a high-performing regional sales team, and execute strategic growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and scale a regional sales team to exceed growth and profitability targets

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with corporate goals and market opportunities

  • Manage direct and distribution sales channels to maximize reach and revenue

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through regular site visits, negotiations, and problem-solving

  • Conduct market research, gather VOC (Voice of Customer) data, and identify trends to improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty

  • Collaborate with marketing to align on integrated Sales & Marketing plans

  • Track, analyze, and report sales performance metrics to inform strategy and adjust activities

  • Define team structure, roles, KPIs, and training programs to support growth

  • Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to guide strategic direction

  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Quality, and Safety standards

External Focus

  • Continuously scan for market trends, technology advancements, and customer needs

  • Proactively allocate resources toward current needs and future market opportunities

  • Build and leverage external partnerships to enhance competitive positioning

Internal Collaboration

  • Build cross-functional relationships across departments to drive alignment and execution

  • Work closely with leadership on strategic planning and business development opportunities

  • Use data and insights to inform and align performance plans across the organization

Position Challenges

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • 10+ years of combined sales, marketing, and/or technical experience

  • 5+ years of sales management experience, including team leadership

  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and performance targets

  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, margin analysis, and cost management

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (50%+)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related advanced degree

  • Experience in specialty metals or industrial manufacturing sectors

  • Familiarity with multi-channel sales strategies (e.g., wholesale, distribution, retail)

  • Experience with strategic planning and cross-functional team collaboration

  • Strong project management and operational execution skills
