Role Summary
The Sales Manager plays a key role in sustaining Mennel’s tradition of excellence by managing internal and external sales activities for flour products. This position serves as a liaison between flour sales, co-product sales, and the transportation department while developing new and existing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Manage customer accounts, including pricing, contracting, and prospecting new business

Maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing by monitoring supply, demand, trends, and competitors

Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships and understand client business objectives

Travel as needed to visit customers, attend conferences, and represent Mennel at industry tradeshows

Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement targeted sales strategies and drive continuous process improvements

Prepare and maintain sales reports, statistical data, and customer information

Address technical inquiries related to milling, lab analysis, scheduling, packing, and production
Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and customer service

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Ability to prioritize tasks, work under time pressure, and problem-solve effectively

High level of customer knowledge and ability to handle technical or production-related issues

Physical Demands
