About the Role:
Andritz is seeking a Regional Sales Manager – Mills, Midwest to achieve growth goals across the assigned territory. Reporting to the Senior Vice President – Services, you will manage key accounts, develop new business, and act as the primary contact for customers. You will also collaborate with sales and product teams on pricing, order tracking, and after-sales support, while leveraging expertise in Andritz products and advanced technologies.
This role is remote-based with travel up to 80% across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development

Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned product groups.

Maintain and grow top-line sales with key accounts.

Generate new business through consultative selling techniques.

Promote Andritz’s advanced technologies and differentiated product portfolio.

Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and sales contracts.

Track inquiries, quotes, and orders, providing regular reporting to management.
Customer Relationship Management

Serve as primary contact for regional customers.

Deliver after-sales service, including product/service claim resolution.

Measure and report customer satisfaction.

Build strong interpersonal relationships alongside technical sales support.
Market & Industry Knowledge

Follow market trends and competitor activity.

Collaborate with other Regional Sales Managers to share best practices.

Support development of segment-based marketing strategies and sales programs.
Technical & CRM Skills

Read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Use CRM and IT tools to manage accounts and support sales efforts.

Apply consultative selling techniques and Dale Carnegie principles.
Qualifications:

Experience in metals industry sales, service, or customer support.

Knowledge of metals manufacturing processes and industrial materials (tool steels, ceramics, tungsten carbide).

Experience in complex industrial product sales with multiple customer departments.

Strong sales communication, presentation, and consultative skills.

Comfortable traveling extensively and speaking to groups in industrial/business settings.
Education & Experience:

Proven success in outside or inside sales in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Experience selling spare parts, maintenance services, equipment rebuilds, and retrofits.
Travel Requirements:

Up to 80% travel in assigned territory.
