Job Overview
American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is seeking a Sales Manager to drive new business acquisition in the SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) segment. This is an individual contributor role ideal for a dynamic professional passionate about travel, sales, and relationship management. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new clients, providing tailored travel management solutions that optimize corporate travel investments, and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Aggressively prospect new SME clients and document all activities.

Build and maintain strong C-level relationships through consultative selling.

Conduct deep discovery sessions with CFOs, Procurement Leaders, and Travel Managers to deliver customized travel management solutions.

Present compelling ROI-based proposals and technology demos to align with client goals.

Manage and expand a robust sales pipeline to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of GBT’s travel management solutions and industry trends.

Collaborate with internal teams to configure solutions and ensure a seamless client experience.

Track and report pipeline and sales activities accurately in CRM (preferably Salesforce).

Manage new client accounts during the first 13 months of activation to ensure smooth implementation.
Qualifications

Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in SaaS and/or travel management environments.

Experience in consultative B2B sales, including prospecting and closing enterprise-level accounts.

Strong financial acumen and ability to articulate cost-benefit analyses.

Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

Competitive, self-driven, and adaptable with a strong focus on results.

Skilled in CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.

Spanish proficiency highly preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.

Base Salary: $88,200 – $163,800 (based on experience and location)
