Job Responsibilities:
- Build and develop a high-performing team that drives business growth through new account acquisition and increased share of wallet.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies that contribute to achieving Territory and Regional objectives.
- Regularly conduct sales meetings, training sessions, and account/pipeline reviews with the sales team.
- Establish appropriate performance goals for team members and hold them accountable for achieving them.
- Identify customer needs and present relevant organizational solutions.
- Network and represent the organization at industry events to promote the company brand.
- Collaborate with the organization to ensure team members maintain up-to-date customer and inventory data in the CRM and promptly address any issues.
- Manage and report on team performance, assets (inventory), and budget execution.
- Partner with the Credit Manager to ensure timely accounts receivable collection.
- Maintain and adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure team and individual work complies with standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge in Packaging, Facility Solutions, or a similar industry are preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to changing work environments.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills are necessary.
- 30% travel is required.
- Experience managing a team of 5-10 direct reports is required.
- Territory sales or account management experience is preferred.
- Experience with a large, national, or decentralized distribution organization is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems is preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years of successful supervisory/management experience, demonstrating the ability to motivate, develop, and evaluate direct reports.
- 3-5 years of related job experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Physical Requirements:
- The role requires significant computer work, involving continuous use of fingers, hands, wrists, and prolonged sitting.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds is required.
- The position involves working in an office setting and traveling to customers, suppliers, and meetings.
