Compensation Overview

We offer a competitive base salary during training, followed by commission-based compensation with a transitional subsidy as you grow your territory. Top performers have the potential to earn well over $100,000 annually.

Position Summary: Sales Representative

This is more than a sales role—it’s an opportunity to drive growth, build relationships, and shape success across a portfolio of independent convenience store customers. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding Core-Mark’s market presence through our extensive foodservice and convenience solutions.

In this high-impact, field-based role, you’ll manage existing accounts while strategically identifying and securing new customers—helping businesses thrive store by store. Your performance directly fuels your earnings, making this an exciting challenge for ambitious, results-driven professionals.


What You’ll Do

  • Execute a territory-specific sales strategy to drive revenue and margin growth

  • Proactively identify and onboard new customers through cold-calling and prospecting

  • Educate customers on product offerings, foodservice solutions, marketing programs, and promotional opportunities

  • Analyze sales data and collaborate with store managers to uncover growth opportunities

  • Monitor accounts for credit compliance and assist with receivables as needed

  • Stay informed on competitive pricing and market trends

  • Represent Core-Mark at industry events and networking opportunities

  • Provide accurate reporting and updates through CRM tools

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Travel Requirements

  • 80% local travel within your assigned territory (Tampa area)

  • Occasional overnight stays may be required

  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Who You Are

We’re looking for a motivated, charismatic, and strategic sales professional who thrives in a competitive environment and enjoys building customer relationships that deliver results.

You’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales or consulting experience

  • A proven track record of closing sales across diverse product lines

  • Strong time management and territory planning skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally Power BI

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and ServSafe certification (preferred)

  • Entrepreneurial energy and a drive to exceed expectations

  • A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
