Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by using a proven consultative sales approach to understand each individual’s sleep needs and guide them to the right Sleep Number products for a personalized sleep solution.

  • Foster meaningful connections with customers by clearly communicating product features, benefits, and promotions, and by providing timely and relevant follow-up communication.

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to performance by becoming a trusted Sleep Expert and consistently exceeding established sales targets.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with a natural talent for engaging with customers from a wide range of backgrounds.

  • Previous experience in a customer-centric or high-end retail sales environment is preferred.

  • Professional demeanor and attitude with a strong sense of integrity in representing the Sleep Number brand.

  • Comfortable with technology used in store operations and customer interactions (e.g., POS systems, interactive demos, iPads, apps); ideal candidates are enthusiastic about tech and quick to learn new tools.

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative team setting.

  • Driven by performance-based compensation and motivated to achieve and surpass goals.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, in alignment with retail hours.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and proficient in English; additional language skills are a plus.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a bonus.


Compensation and Incentives

  • Starting base pay of $15/hour, with uncapped commissions and monthly performance bonuses.

  • Most team members earn between $49,000 and $57,000 annually, based on performance (approximately $23.50 to $27.50 per hour).

  • Store leadership can provide more specific insights into historical earnings for the location.
