Salesforce Platform Product Owner at ADT

ADT is seeking a dedicated Salesforce Platform Product Owner to drive the strategic development and enhancement of our Salesforce ecosystem. If you’re a seasoned product professional with a deep understanding of Salesforce and a passion for agile delivery, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

As a Salesforce Platform Product Owner, you’ll be instrumental in:

  • Backlog Ownership: Owning and managing the Salesforce platform team backlog, continuously prioritizing stories to align with program goals.
  • Story Definition: Defining and refining user stories and iteration goals, ensuring clarity and readiness for development teams.
  • Strategic Contribution: Collaborating on the overall product vision, roadmap, and Return on Investment (ROI) to contribute to strategic planning.
  • Acceptance & Quality: Accepting completed iteration increments based on the Definition of Done and user acceptance criteria, upholding high-quality standards.
  • Agile Planning: Actively participating in Program Increment (PI) planning, including detailed backlog refinement and aligning cross-team dependencies.
  • Inter-team Coordination: Coordinating closely with other Product Owners to manage dependencies and sequencing between teams.
  • Clear Requirements: Ensuring all stories include clear acceptance criteria and persistent test cases.
  • Technical Partnership: Working with Salesforce Architects and Engineering teams to understand upcoming enablers and help prioritize technical infrastructure needs for future functionality.

What We’re Looking For:

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Product Owner or Product Manager certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe POPM) is preferred.
  • Salesforce admin certification or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally within a platform or enterprise systems team.
  • Prior experience as a Project Lead or Business Analyst, with a demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business teams.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform capabilities, including:
    • Core Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud)
    • Platform configuration (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Custom Objects)
    • Familiarity with SOQL and Salesforce data model is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools and collaboration platforms, including Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled in prioritization and decision-making, effectively balancing business value, technical feasibility, and user needs.
  • Adept at facilitation, with a servant leadership mindset and strong collaboration across product, engineering, and design teams.
  • Highly organized with a bias for action, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and storytelling.

In your first year, critical success factors include:

  • Rapidly developing a deep understanding of ADT’s business model, operational workflows, and Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Successfully leading and delivering on Program Increment (PI) iterations, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timely execution, and quality outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $96,000.00 – $144,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for an annual bonus and may include equity, with awards allocated based on company and individual performance.
