H-E-B is hiring Part-Time Overnight Total Store Sanitation Specialists in San Antonio, TX! We’re looking for motivated individuals with a passion for cleanliness, safety, and teamwork to help us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment for our Customers.
As a Total Store Sanitation Specialist, you’ll clean and disinfect all departments, handle chemical sanitation processes, and ensure our facilities meet food safety and OSHA standards. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to provide outstanding service while keeping the store running smoothly overnight.

What You’ll Do
Sanitation & Maintenance

Deep clean and disinfect store departments, including coolers, drains, and equipment

Safely handle cleaning tools and chemicals; maintain proper documentation

Organize and maintain the maintenance room and chemical supplies
-
Understand product handling and sanitation best practices
-
Recognize and address pest control issues
-
Report maintenance needs or safety concerns to store leadership
Customer Service

Assist customers when needed, including product location support

Work around customers while performing sanitation duties
-
Step into other sanitation roles as required
Minimum Requirements
-
Must be 18+ years old
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
1+ years of experience in sanitation, janitorial, or maintenance roles
-
Must complete all required training and safety certifications upon hire
Skills & Qualities Needed

Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and food handling processes

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently overnight

Strong time management and communication skills

Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold, hot, or wet conditions
