Seneca Resources is seeking a skilled SAP Application Security Analyst to join a high-impact federal project. This fully remote, contract role focuses on managing SAP user access, supporting audits, and ensuring robust security controls. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a customer-focused approach. The SAP Application Security Analyst will work closely with SAP administrators, functional teams, and auditors to maintain compliance, mitigate risk, and support enterprise security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
SAP User Access Management

Process user access requests, role assignments, and terminations in SAP systems.

Troubleshoot login errors, password resets, and authorization issues.

Maintain Firefighter (GRC) access and monitor emergency access logs.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting

Act as the first point of contact for SAP security tickets.

Investigate and resolve authorization failures, missing roles, and access denials.

Collaborate with SAP administrators and functional teams to resolve complex security issues.
Role & Authorization Governance

Assign and maintain SAP roles and profiles following business needs.

Ensure compliance with least-privilege access and segregation of duties (SoD) principles.

Improve role design and streamline user provisioning workflows.
Compliance & Audit Support

Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.

Conduct periodic user access reviews and prepare audit reports.

Maintain adherence to data protection and risk mitigation policies.
Knowledge Sharing & Documentation

Create and maintain security procedures and end-user guides.

Provide guidance and training to end-users on SAP security best practices.

Stay updated on SAP security patches, trends, and emerging risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Active Security+ certification.

Minimum 3 years of SAP security or access control experience preferred.

Proficiency with SAP user administration tools: SU01, PFCG, SUIM, SU53.

Experience with SAP GRC Access Control, including firefighter access and risk analysis.

Familiarity with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Fiori modules.

Helpdesk lead or team lead experience preferred.

Strong customer service, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
