Key Duties of a School Attendance Support Officer

Regularly meet with allocated schools to monitor attendance data

Identify pupils and attendance trends requiring intervention

Lead termly Targeted Support Meetings in line with DfE guidance

Collaborate with families, schools, and external services to remove barriers to attendance

Support appropriate legal processes where necessary to improve attendance
