Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students. The role focuses on supporting students with learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges, as well as those with advanced abilities and talents. The School Psychologist will collaborate with school-based teams, design prevention and intervention strategies, and deliver in-service training for staff and parents.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments for students with academic, behavioral, or developmental concerns.

Develop prescriptive remedial recommendations to promote student growth.

Interpret and communicate assessment results to parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Prepare written evaluation reports with recommendations.

Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ personal, social, emotional, and academic development.

Support crisis intervention services for students in distress.

Serve as a resource for teachers and administrators on behavioral management and student mental health needs.

Deliver in-service training for school staff, parents, and community members.

Participate as a collaborative member of school-based problem-solving and decision-making teams.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Specialist degree (or equivalent) in School Psychology from an accredited institution

Completion of a 1,200-hour internship in School Psychology

Florida Department of Education Certification as a Specialist in School Psychology

National School Psychology Certification preferred (please upload if applicable)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of Section 504, IDEA, child development, and behavioral assessment procedures

Familiarity with Florida Statutes and State Board of Education Rules

Expertise in test administration, interpretation, and intervention design

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software

Ability to write comprehensive evaluation reports, design and monitor intervention programs, perform data analysis, provide counseling and crisis intervention, facilitate team collaboration, conduct training, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
