Join our Application Security Testing Automation & Insights team. Our mission is to secure applications across Amazon using deep research and scalable automation. We identify vulnerabilities before code reaches production, automate hard-to-detect patterns, and make remediation fast and accurate.
Here, you’ll work independently on your own projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and develop security guidance for Amazon’s vast engineering community—raising the security bar across multiple businesses.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and refine scalable application security rules to detect coding and configuration flaws.

Evaluate and recommend security testing tools.

Research application frameworks to find weaknesses and new detection methods.

Leverage telemetry data to uncover vulnerabilities and perimeter exposures.

Secure applications during runtime.

Create and interpret security standards and best practices.
-
Promote and improve Amazon’s overall security architecture.
Basic Qualifications
-
3+ years programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar OOP languages.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Understanding of networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP).
Preferred Qualifications
-
2+ years’ experience in areas such as threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, cryptography, software development, system administration, or network security.

Experience with AWS products/services.

Additional programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
