The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Senior Analyst to help keep Washington safe and secure. As an IT Security Senior Analyst, you will lead efforts to protect critical business applications and IT assets across the agency, providing technical expertise and guidance on complex cybersecurity challenges. IT Security Senior Analyst Responsibilities
As an IT Security Senior Analyst, you will:

Conduct enterprise-wide IT security assessments, risk analyses, and reviews to identify vulnerabilities and establish security requirements.

Manage Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) programs, acting as the primary contact for IT audits.

Evaluate proposed security controls, perform configuration validation, and provide risk recommendations to system owners.

Analyze threats, produce KPI reports, and create technical and formal documentation on threat management.

Develop and implement enterprise-wide IT security policies, standards, and incident response processes.

Serve as a security consultant for L&I business areas, IT staff, and vendors, advising on architecture and security solutions.

Lead IT Security service projects and coordinate efforts with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel as an IT Security Senior Analyst, candidates must have:

Experience: At least 10 years of full-time IT experience across multiple disciplines such as network engineering, application security, database management, risk management, or project management.

Specialized Experience: Minimum 6 years in at least two areas: firewall management, vulnerability management, penetration testing, network security, application security, or digital forensics.

IT Security Expertise: At least 3 years assessing, monitoring, and protecting IT systems against cybersecurity threats.

Advisory Experience: 2 years consulting with technical leadership, vendors, or contractors on IT security risks.

Education Substitutions: Up to 4 years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, or up to 2 years for an associate’s degree in IT, computer science, or related fields.
Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CEH, OSCP, Security+, or formal IT security coursework.
