We are currently seeking a skilled and self-motivated Joiner to join our team on a self-employed basis. This is a great opportunity to work within a dedicated, experienced crew on varied and interesting projects.
Role Summary
As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and assembling wooden structures and fixtures to a high standard. You will work from drawings and specifications using a range of hand and power tools. This position requires experience, precision, and the ability to work in both residential and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities

Interpret and work from technical drawings and design plans.

Fabricate and install timber components (e.g. doors, windows, staircases, frames, partitions).

Use hand and power tools effectively and safely.

Ensure all work is level, plumb, square, and in line with specifications.

Carry out heavy lifting and manual handling where necessary.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure smooth project delivery.

Conduct self-checks and ensure compliance with building codes and health and safety regulations.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Proven joinery/carpentry experience (minimum 5 years preferred).

NVQ Level 2 or higher in Joinery/Carpentry (desirable).

Proficient in the safe use of tools and equipment.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Strong eye for detail and a high standard of workmanship.

Good understanding of health and safety protocols.

Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.

Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).

Reliable, punctual, and a good communicator.
