Discovery Garden is seeking an experienced, Senior Account Executive that will be helping to build our new sales team, and to achieve revenue/sales goals. The role will include working with leadership to develop sales strategies, set targets, and coordinate sales team’s efforts to effectively promote and sell Discovery Garden’s offerings. This position is ideal for someone who understands tech sales in a value-based consultative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualify and manage new inbound and outbound sales leads through the full sales cycle.
- Proactively identify opportunities that would benefit from our offerings using a consultative sales approach.
- Work with team members in gathering requirements and proposing high value solutions.
- Proactively maintain relationships with your accounts and identify future opportunities.
- Gain a deep understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of competing products, and effectively illustrate the value of our high-quality/market-leading offerings to prospects.
- Help establish clear and achievable sales targets for the sales team. These targets will align with the Discovery Garden’s revenue objectives and growth strategies.
- Assist leadership in devising sales strategies that outline how the team will approach
- markets, segments, and clients.
- Help organize training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team. This can include product training, sales techniques, negotiation skills, and customer engagement best practices.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns. Provide insights from customer interactions to refine marketing strategies and ensure consistent messaging.
- Generate regular reports and presentations detailing sales performance, progress towards targets, and insights into market dynamics.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Five or more years of experience in selling in a B2B setting.
- Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada. Strong preference for candidates based in PEI, Canada
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Emerging leadership ability.
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems.
- Familiarity with the Gallery, Library, Archive and Museum (GLAM) market.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM/Pardot and G-Suite tools.
