Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of leads, including SDR-provided and personally sourced leads

  • Identify sales opportunities through prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and partner relationships

  • Manage the full sales process: qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation, and close

  • Develop and maintain expertise in BILL’s Spend & Expense products and services

  • Understand your territory, marketplace, competitors, and business issues relevant to your role

  • Document daily sales activities in Salesforce and prepare reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates

  • Effectively manage time to maximize results

Requirements

  • 6+ years of sales experience in a closing role

  • Proven track record of being in the top 10%-20% of your past company

  • Experience with outbound lead sourcing

  • Comfortable with long sales cycles (100 days average or more)

  • Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and Tableau

  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours to close deals

  • Preferred: experience in FinTech, B2B, SaaS sales, or finance/accounting background

  • Preferred: experience engaging with CFOs, Corporate Controllers, VPs of Finance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong persuasion, consulting, and relationship-building skills

  • Computer literacy and ability to work effectively on a team

Compensation & Benefits

On Target Earnings (OTE) by Zone:

  • Zone 1: San Francisco Bay Area, NYC, Seattle, Los Angeles County – $239,500–$286,700 USD

  • Zone 2: CA (non-Bay Area), Austin TX, Massachusetts – $215,600–$258,000 USD

  • Zone 3: Utah, Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina – $203,600–$243,700 USD
