About the Job – Senior Accountant at SageSure
SageSure, a leading provider of catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the growth of our insurance operations, parent company, and affiliated managing general agency. This is a unique opportunity to help build and enhance our accounting and financial reporting functions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You’ll Do

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and support consolidations

Develop and maintain monthly accounting workpapers

Perform variance and account analysis

Assist with regulatory filings, including premium tax and other state-required reports

Contribute to financial reporting, annual statements, and audit preparation

Support continuous improvement in accounting processes and controls
What You Bring
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field

5+ years of accounting experience

Solid understanding of GAAP; STAT knowledge a plus

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and collaborative

Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex information

Flexibility to work across time zones, including occasional off-hours follow-ups
Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CPA candidate

Experience in MGA/MGU insurance accounting

Familiarity with NetSuite, Concur, and financial analysis tools
