Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant Job
As a Senior Accountant, you will:

Complete month-end processes, journal entries, and accruals for accurate financial reporting.

Manage fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal.

Support capital project planning and maintain alignment with the engineering department.

Prepare reconciliations, roll forwards, and ensure GL data accuracy.

Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company policies and SOX requirements.

Coordinate tax filings and manage local sales and use tax compliance.

Work with FP&A to maintain accurate financial representation during monthly and quarterly closes.

Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
For this Senior Accountant job, Avantor seeks professionals with:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

3–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
