JOB SUMMARY:

Overall Summary of Function

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Accounting Manager to support the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing financial statements, assisting in month-end close. At limes, multiple projects may require work simulta

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

At Minimum Duties & Responsibilities

•Manage accounts receivable

•Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations

•Prepare semimonthly payroll journal entry postings

•Prepare AR Aging and prepayment reports and communicate with sales team to ensure collections are done in a timely manner

•Prepare monthly journal entries and month end account reconclllations

•Maintain fixed assets sub ledger, inventory fixed assets and fixed asset monthly depreciation

•Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end close reports

•Review financial statements on a monthly basis and report on fluctuations

•Assist with yearly budget creation and monthly tasks

•Prepare and provide reports that will help COO to make efficient operational decisions

•File sales tax reports for applicable states

•Mentor junior accounting staff providing guidance, training and support to ensure professional growth

•Perform other job related functions and projects as assigned.

•Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with established accounting policies and procedures and in accordance with GAAP

•Provide financial insights including profitability analysis, cost analysis and trend analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At Minimum Training, Education & Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

•Minimum 3 years of full cycle or general accounting experience.

•Strong proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Enterprise

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Hands on, analytical, detailed oriented and organizational skills

•Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment
