Opportunity: Senior Accountant
Join our dynamic and high-performing accounting team in Sunnyvale, CA as a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be a key contributor responsible for general ledger activities, including payroll, commissions, bonuses, accruals, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. You will also support ad-hoc projects for management. This is an excellent opportunity for career growth within our expanding company.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts, including payroll, commissions, bonuses, and various accruals.
- Oversee daily payroll accounting tasks and other assigned duties.
- Manage various month-end accruals and assigned reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses for management reporting.
- Assist with KPI tracking, metrics, and analysis, including process and system improvement projects.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives in design, discovery, and testing phases.
- Provide necessary documentation and schedules for external auditors and the internal SOX team.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 4-5 years of general accounting experience in industry and/or public accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Excellent organizational and verbal/communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and prioritization abilities.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics D365 preferred) and FloQast is a plus.
