About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant at Lewis, you will play a key role in the timely and accurate preparation and analysis of US GAAP-based financial statements and reports, including supporting the year-end audit. You will collaborate closely with operations and parent company accounting leadership.

Your Impact:

  • Prepare and ensure accurate and timely general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month-end close process and analyze financial data.
  • Develop complex accounting analytics to partner with business operations.
  • Complete general accounting tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Research and provide guidance on US GAAP for new processes.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Stay current with GAAP standards and recommend company policy updates.
  • Assist with general ledger system maintenance.
  • Establish, document, and implement efficient accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain organized computer and paper files.
  • Perform other duties as needed in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • At least three years of experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.

Bonus Points:

  • CPA preferred.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with general ledgers and mobile technology.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and effective financial data analysis skills.
  • Sound judgment in subjective accounting analysis.
  • Focus on being a strong business partner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lead and develop others.
  • Knowledge of vegetation management or the utility environment is a significant plus.
