The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the company’s financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with various departments, contribute to financial strategy, and provide valuable insights to support decision-making.

This role is on site daily.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to management for decision-making.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to minimize tax liabilities.

Audit Support:

  • Facilitate and lead internal and external audits.
  • Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow by tracking, reconciling, and forecasting cash balances.
  • Analyze and report on cash management activities, making recommendations for improvement.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Streamline accounting procedures to optimize workflow.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure cohesive financial operations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of [2] year of progressive accounting experience.
