Job Overview:
Gen II is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Management Company services department. The role requires an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage multiple accounting projects, supporting financial accounting and reporting for private equity sponsors.
Primary Responsibilities:

Process cash transactions and perform bank reconciliations.

Handle fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting.

Manage payroll accounting, including reconciliation with payroll provider records.

Participate in accounts payable, including invoice and journal entry review.

Contribute to monthly accounting cycle, including journal entries for accruals and equity-related activities.

Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and workpapers.

Regularly liaise with clients’ finance teams, including CFO and Controller.

Assist with the annual Form 1099 process and new client set-up.

Complete ad-hoc projects and support client auditors and tax accountants.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

3+ years of business accounting experience, preferably in a Management Company function.

Experience in outsourced accounting, private equity management, or related roles is a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
