Job Overview:
Gen II is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Management Company services department. The role requires an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage multiple accounting projects, supporting financial accounting and reporting for private equity sponsors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process cash transactions and perform bank reconciliations.

  • Handle fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting.

  • Manage payroll accounting, including reconciliation with payroll provider records.

  • Participate in accounts payable, including invoice and journal entry review.

  • Contribute to monthly accounting cycle, including journal entries for accruals and equity-related activities.

  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and workpapers.

  • Regularly liaise with clients’ finance teams, including CFO and Controller.

  • Assist with the annual Form 1099 process and new client set-up.

  • Complete ad-hoc projects and support client auditors and tax accountants.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

  • 3+ years of business accounting experience, preferably in a Management Company function.

  • Experience in outsourced accounting, private equity management, or related roles is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player.
