Senior Accountant – Revenue (Interactive) – Las Vegas, NV
Join Aristocrat, a global leader in gaming entertainment, as a Senior Accountant – Revenue, focusing on the Interactive line of business. Based in Las Vegas, you will be responsible for accurate and timely revenue recognition, partnering closely with Billing and Commercial Finance teams. This role is part of the Global Shared Services team, committed to providing exceptional service and supporting scalable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly revenue accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
 - Prepare journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
 - Analyze contracts to determine and implement correct accounting treatment, providing recommendations during contract drafting.
 - Review revenue adjustments, such as write-offs and bundles.
 - Process revenue acceptance worksheets and sales documentation for invoicing.
 - Collaborate with sales operations to ensure timely invoicing.
 - Calculate revenue recognition impacts for discounts and special offers.
 - Partner with IT and Billing teams to automate billing and revenue recognition processes and resolve billing issues.
 - Serve as a key liaison between IT and Billing teams for accurate revenue reporting.
 - Assist in developing and implementing streamlined revenue operations policies and procedures.
 - Lead research initiatives and resolve complex issues.
 - Advise Commercial Finance on accounting implications of transactions, focusing on revenue, margin analysis, and revenue recognition.
 - Ensure robust internal controls over revenue are maintained and documented.
 - Perform ad hoc analysis and support management requests.
 - Cross-train with other senior accountants.
 - Prepare accurate and timely Blackline account reconciliations with thorough supporting documentation.
 - Assist with internal and external audit requests.
 - Complete ad hoc regulatory reporting as needed.
 - Meet all deadlines for assigned tasks.
 - Conduct financial analysis and research.
 - Collaborate with the COE Continuous Improvement team to drive process enhancements.
 - Maintain a strong understanding of IFRS revenue recognition guidelines.
 - Embrace technology to improve efficiency within the revenue process.
 - Review data for accuracy and completeness.
 - Support the transition of new revenue streams.
 - Understand internal and external customer needs to deliver superior service.
 - Demonstrate flexibility to support global finance team objectives across different time zones.
 
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (gaming industry preferred).
 - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
 - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
 - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 - Strong analytical and organizational skills.
 - Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of personal and professional accountability.
 - Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
 - Proficiency in accounting and financial software.
 - Ability to maneuver in an office/production setting and operate necessary equipment.
