Senior Accountant – Amazon MGM Studios

Amazon MGM Studios is expanding its global presence, producing award-winning television series and films, including Fallout, Rings of Power, Reacher, The Boys, and Jack Ryan. Our portfolio also includes international originals and live sports events like NFL Thursday Night Football and Champions League. We are committed to unique storytelling from top and emerging creators worldwide.

We seek a Senior Accountant to support our global television and motion picture operations in Culver City, CA. This role will oversee accounting functions, financial reporting, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting and financial reporting for global productions.
  • Drive process improvements and automation for efficiency.
  • Perform month-end close activities and financial analysis.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Basic:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
    • 3+ years of finance or accounting experience.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Experience in process automation and financial tools.
  • Preferred:

    • CPA certification.
    • Knowledge of GAAP and FASB codification.
    • Experience with ERP and data reporting tools (Oracle, SAP, SQL, Cognos).
