About the Job

The Senior Administrator, Clinics leads the operational and business management functions of physician practices within a designated regional market, potentially spanning several states. This role is responsible for driving strategic goals, overseeing clinical and administrative operations, managing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting directly to senior leadership—including the CEO and Regional President—this position is accountable for managing multi-site practices with 60+ providers and directing overall regional operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with corporate and local leadership to develop, communicate, and execute strategic goals for clinic operations. Establish and maintain accountability frameworks to ensure goal achievement.

  • Oversee all physician practice operations, ensuring alignment with capital and non-labor budget constraints.

  • Directly manage administrators and senior directors; provide indirect oversight of all clinic personnel including clinical and non-clinical staff, and healthcare providers (MDs, NPs, PAs).

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and productivity standards in alignment with budgetary targets.

  • Coordinate administrative processes related to accounts payable, insurance requirements, and other operational needs.

  • Analyze operational performance and contribute data-driven strategies for growth and improvement.

  • Actively participate in Monthly Operational Reviews (MORs); support budget creation in collaboration with the CFO and executive leadership; ensure teams adhere to financial targets.

  • Assist in defining and updating clinic policies and procedures; facilitate communication and implementation across teams.

  • Lead physician recruitment, onboarding, contract negotiations, compensation planning, and performance evaluations.

  • Represent the organization at community and professional events; identify opportunities for outreach, service expansion, and education.

  • Drive successful transitions for new practice launches and acquisitions by coordinating with stakeholders across departments.

  • Uphold patient privacy standards and ensure HIPAA compliance.

  • Address patient concerns with urgency and professionalism; escalate issues as necessary to maintain high service standards.

  • Support initiatives aimed at improving employee and provider satisfaction; actively engage leadership in culture development.

  • Conduct regular site visits and ensure compliance with safety and care standards across all locations.

  • Monitor and enforce billing accuracy, cash control protocols, and revenue cycle procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required; ensure all practices meet CHS policy standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Public Health, or related field

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in physician practice management

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and financial oversight within a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in a strategic leadership role within a physician-led integrated healthcare system

  • Experience developing operational plans and analyzing financial performance

  • MGMA membership or ACMPE certification
