You will guide teams, own technical areas, drive cross-functional projects, evaluate technologies, and contribute to engineering excellence. This role emphasizes expertise in large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Guide teams with AI/ML expertise, particularly in generative models.
- Provide technical leadership in advanced AI/ML innovations.
- Drive cross-functional projects, integrating creative AI technologies.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to leverage cutting-edge knowledge.
- Evaluate technologies and potential partners.
- Participate and support engineering excellence.
- Independently complete projects from planning to completion.
- Collaborate with engineers to find elegant architectures and solutions.
What You’ll Add To DigitalOcean:
- Define business requirements and communicate with different audiences.
- Provide technical leadership.
- Strong knowledge in AI/ML, GenAI, infrastructure, and developer tools.
- Ability to make effective trade-offs.
- Experience with LLMs, transformers, model inference, pre-training, fine-tuning, data platforms, and infrastructure.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
