Join United’s Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team and help lead the airline industry in cyber-safety. Our mission is to protect our customers’ and employees’ data by embedding cybersecurity into the DNA of our business and reducing risk through strong security standards.
As a Digital Risk & Compliance Senior Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving United’s cybersecurity compliance and digital risk initiatives. You’ll evaluate cybersecurity controls, ensure regulatory compliance, perform risk assessments, and collaborate across teams to strengthen our security posture. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and leadership skills to mentor junior staff and continuously improve cybersecurity practices.
Key Responsibilities

Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies to enhance cybersecurity processes and close compliance gaps.

Identify areas of noncompliance, assess risk impact, and provide clear reporting to support cybersecurity objectives.

Perform compliance and risk assessments across regulations such as GDPR, DFARS, PCI, and SOX.

Review and support external security and compliance audits and assessments.

Develop and refine policies, standards, and processes aligned with cybersecurity and business needs.

Provide remediation guidance to cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with frameworks like NIST, COBIT, and ISO 27001.

Mentor and support junior team members in cybersecurity compliance and governance.

Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing data and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and efficiency.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

4+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, governance, risk, or compliance.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, etc.).

Experience in regulatory compliance, control assessments, and risk remediation.

Proficiency in security/privacy principles across data processing, storage, and transmission.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
