Role Summary
The Commercial Strategy Manager plays a key role in shaping high-impact commercial and product strategies that drive revenue and competitive success for Alaska Air Group (AAG). As a subject matter expert, you’ll analyze market and customer trends, uncover new revenue opportunities, and deliver strategic recommendations that support Alaska Airlines’ long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct deep market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and assess the impact of strategic decisions.

Use SQL, Python, or R to manipulate large datasets, extract insights, and create actionable strategies.

Develop business cases with financial projections, risk assessments, and performance metrics.

Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, marketing, e-commerce, network planning, and revenue management teams.

Communicate complex insights through storytelling and visualization tools (Tableau preferred).

Explore innovative strategies to drive revenue optimization, product enhancements, and cost efficiencies.

Present recommendations and performance reports to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree (or 2 additional years of related training/experience in lieu).

4+ years’ experience in business analytics, competitive intelligence, strategy, or related areas.

Proficiency in SQL and one programming language (Python or R).

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:

Master’s degree in a related field.

Experience in the airline industry.

Knowledge of product merchandising, revenue optimization, and competitor strategy.

Skilled in presenting data-driven insights using Tableau or similar tools.

Strong relationship-building skills across functions.
Salary & Benefits

Base salary: $97,200 – $145,800 annually (typically hired near midpoint)
