About the Role: Senior Consultant, Internal Audit – Financial Services
Join a top-rated advisory firm renowned for its exceptional culture and commitment to both clients and employees. CrossCountry Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our growing Risk Advisory practice, specializing in Internal Audit within the Financial Services sector.
As a trusted partner, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of financial operations, processes, and controls within banks, investment firms, and other financial institutions. You’ll play a key role in assessing financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering tailored solutions that address today’s challenges and build future value for our clients.
What you’ll do:
- Evaluate financial risks (liquidity, credit, operational, market) and ensure robust risk management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations (SOX, Basel III, IFRS/GAAP, local frameworks).
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and control testing, delivering high-quality work.
- Analyze business units and controls, document processes, and evaluate internal controls.
- Develop remediation strategies for risk and control gaps.
- Support engagement planning, budget management, and deliverable quality.
- Build strong client relationships by understanding their business and delivering exceptional results.
- Collaborate with teams to solve business challenges and create impactful solutions.
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years of experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory, consulting) focused on financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial services regulations.
- Proficiency in identifying and analyzing key financial risks.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Compensation (New York): $71,000 – $148,000 per year + bonus + benefits (comprehensive healthcare, 401k match, paid leave, stipends, wellness programs).
