Position Overview

The Senior Coordinator, Social Media plays a key role in executing and evolving the league’s social media presence. This role involves strategy execution, content creation, live coverage, and community management, all while staying ahead of digital trends to engage and grow the PWHL fanbase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize the league’s social media strategy to drive engagement and growth.

  • Manage the content calendar, ensuring a mix of promotional, informative, and entertaining posts.

  • Create and edit multimedia content across platforms, aligning with brand standards.

  • Provide real-time social coverage for games, events, and major highlights.

  • Foster fan engagement through comments, DMs, UGC campaigns, polls, and interactive content.

  • Collaborate with PR, Merchandise, Ticketing, and Partnerships teams.

  • Monitor analytics and create performance reports with actionable insights.

  • Support influencer, brand, and stakeholder partnerships that align with league goals.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of social media experience (sports preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.

  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, Rush).

  • Strong grasp of social platforms, trends, and analytics tools.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
