EMC is looking for a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join their team. You’ll be instrumental in planning, implementing, and improving their cybersecurity tools and processes. This role involves evaluating systems, collaborating on complex security projects, and conducting advanced research on emerging threats. You’ll also serve as a point of escalation for the Security Operations Center (SOC), mentor junior analysts, and lead critical security activities like threat hunting, incident response, and controls testing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the SOC team, acting as a security escalation point, and mentoring junior analysts.
  • Investigating and resolving security alerts and incidents using various cybersecurity tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, etc.).
  • Planning and executing incident response preparedness exercises and maintaining incident response plans.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborating on the selection, design, implementation, and maintenance of security tooling.
  • Staying updated on cybersecurity trends and contributing to the security roadmap.
  • Working with other teams to implement and review security solutions.
  • Managing vendor relationships and evaluating new technologies.
  • Supporting audits and assessments.
  • Communicating complex security topics effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintaining cybersecurity documentation.
  • Gathering data, providing reports, and recommending updates to security KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of SOC experience (investigating alerts, managing vulnerabilities, incident response, SOC operations).
  • Preferred security certifications: CySA+, CISSP, Security+, CEH.
  • Excellent knowledge of information security concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM and SOAR technologies, IPS/IDS, scripting (preferably Python), endpoint protection, vulnerability management, threat detection and response, and enterprise system administration.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, incident response, and communication skills.

The hiring range for this position for Colorado-based team members is $97,416.51-$125,099.76. Salary may vary based on location.
