Role Overview
As a Senior Data Analyst at Fanatics, you will play a critical role in influencing strategic direction and enhancing operational performance. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams—including Strategy, Business Operations, and Physical Operations—you will leverage your expertise in analytics and data storytelling to deliver impactful insights. Your proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools will support both high-level planning and day-to-day decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting

Extract, manipulate, and analyze large-scale datasets using SQL and advanced analytics techniques

Build and maintain automated dashboards and reporting tools to deliver meaningful business insights
Advanced Analytics & Modeling

Develop predictive models using Python or R to identify trends and forecast business performance

Construct advanced data models that reflect complex business dynamics and operational drivers
Data Visualization

Design and manage clear, compelling dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Stakeholder Collaboration

Engage with cross-functional teams to gather business needs and translate them into actionable analytical projects

Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Strategic & Operational Insight

Collaborate with Strategy and Operations teams to design data-driven strategies that support performance optimization and business growth

Monitor KPIs to identify performance trends and areas for improvement
Process Optimization & Innovation

Continuously explore opportunities to improve data workflows, tools, and methodologies

Serve as a thought leader in analytics and contribute to the evolution of the company’s data strategy
Education & Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline
Experience & Skills
Required:

Minimum 4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles

Strong track record working in fast-paced environments; experience in tech or startups is a plus
Technical Proficiency:

Expert-level SQL skills

Experience with data warehousing in Snowflake and transformation tools like dbt

Proficient in data visualization platforms (e.g., Sigma Computing, Tableau, Looker)

Strong programming skills in Python or R for analytics and modeling
Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities

Clear and confident communicator with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
Preferred:

Experience in technology startups or dynamic digital environments

Compensation
-
New York City: $144,000 – $180,000 (base salary only)

Los Angeles: $132,000 – $165,000 (base salary only)
Final compensation is determined by several factors including location, experience, qualifications, and training. These ranges do not include short-term or long-term incentive components.
